Tournament format
Matches over two days
12 group-stage matches, followed by the A and B playoffs.
- Saturday 29 August
- Group stage: matches 1–10.
- Sunday 30 August
- The two remaining group-stage matches, followed by the A and B playoffs.
- A playoff
- Each group winner meets the other group’s runner-up, crossed: A1–B2, B1–A2, C1–D2, D1–C2.
- B playoff
- The third-placed players meet: A3–B3, C3–D3.
How a timed match is decided
Matches last 45 or 35 minutes. Games are counted continuously and the match clock never stops.
Continuous games
Points are counted as usual — 15, 30, 40, game — and the next game starts immediately. A final score might be 8–5.
No-ad at 40–40
A single point decides the game. The receiver chooses the service box.
Change ends without a break
In a 45-minute match players change ends after every odd-numbered game, in a 35-minute match just once after 17 minutes — quickly and without a rest, at most a sip of water on the way.
Injury and treatment
An injured player may receive up to three minutes of treatment on court while the clock keeps running. If they cannot continue after that, the opponent wins by walkover (WO) whatever the score — the games already played stand in the standings. If a player never appears, the match is recorded as 0–0.
The final signal
When time is up, Hesa Fredrik sounds and play stops immediately. A rally in progress is not completed, and an unfinished game does not count towards the final score.
Tied at the final signal
In the group stage the match then ends in a draw. In the knockout stage a single sudden-death point decides it.
Group-stage points
A win earns 2 points, a draw 1 and a loss 0. If players are level on points, positions are decided in order by:
- Game difference — games won minus games lost.
- Most games won.
- Head-to-head result.
- A coin toss by the competition director.

Kalix Handboll: speed-throwing contest & rally prize
Kalix Handboll will run a speed-throwing contest where you can test how fast you can throw a handball. The Saturday and Sunday winners will ride as passengers in Simon Tiger's rally car at Vånafjärden stadium. Coffee, refreshments and burgers will also be on sale.

Kubb tournament
Join a kubb tournament and try this classic Swedish lawn game. Matches last 15 minutes, and there are great prizes for the winners.

How the kubb is played
The kubb tournament is played one against one, and every match lasts 15 minutes.
The throw for the first turn
Both players throw a baton towards the king, and whoever lands closest starts. Knock the king over in that throw and the first turn goes to your opponent.
Missed field kubbs give the advantage
If you fail to knock down your opponent's field kubbs, your opponent gains the advantage in the next round.
The advantage moves the throwing line
A player holding the advantage does not have to stay at the baseline, but may move up and throw from the field kubb. The kubbs are easier to knock down from there.
Back to the baseline after the hit
As soon as the field kubb has been hit, the player returns to the baseline and throws the remaining batons from there.
The clock decides
When the clock rings the match is over. If the score is level, a fribreak is played to decide the winner.
